Celebrating Kindness from the Counselor!
Hello Dexter Families!
Second semester has gotten off to a great start. The students really enjoyed January’s guidance lesson on “Being a Good Listener” in grades Pre-K and Kindergarten and on “Goal Setting” in grades 1-5. This month’s lesson in grade Pre-K-1st will focus on personal space and body boundaries. In grades 1-5 this month’s lesson will focus on prevention of bullying. We will also continue the “Transition to middle school” series with our fifth-grade students.
Reminder to our 4th grade parents: The NAEP assessment will be given on Monday, February 23, 2026. Testing will begin approximately at 9:00AM. Please make sure students are present, on time, get plenty of rest the night before, and eat a healthy breakfast.
We will also be celebrating National Random Acts of Kindness Week, February 17-20, 2026.
