New Year, New Moves! As we kick off January, let’s focus on keeping students active and energized after the holiday break. Physical activity supports not only health but also academic success by improving focus and reducing stress.

Quick Tips for the Month:

  • Start with Movement: Incorporate short brain breaks or stretching routines to re-engage students after transitions.
  • Goal Setting: Encourage students to set a personal fitness goal for the new year. Something simple like “I will do 10 jumping jacks every morning.” 
  • Indoor Options: Cold weather? Try fun indoor activities like fitness circuits, yoga, or dance challenges to keep everyone moving.
  • Family Connection: Share a “Move Together” challenge for families; 5 minutes of activity each evening can make a big difference!
