January: A Creative Start to the New Year
The art room continues to buzz with creativity as we welcome the new year! December was full of festive projects with students designing mini cityscapes that were proudly displayed during our holiday performances, crafting snowflakes, creating holiday cards, and even drawing portraits for the holiday concert. These projects showcased imagination and skill while bringing seasonal cheer to our hallways.
What’s Happening in January?Â
Art Portfolios – All Grades (K–5)
- K–1: Students will create imaginative portfolio covers featuring their names with shapes, colors, and patterns.
- 2–3: Students will brainstorm creative designs for their name covers, experimenting with materials and decorations while reflecting on their choices.
- 4–5: Students will generate multiple design approaches, combine ideas, and demonstrate craftsmanship while revising based on peer feedback.
Our hallways are transforming into a vibrant gallery of student work with each piece reflecting the joy and creativity of our young artists. Thank you for supporting your child’s artistic journey. We’re excited to keep filling our school with art that celebrates imagination and community!
