Music Notes with Ms. Bocanegra

In music class, students are diving into instrumental pieces by Carl Orff and Brent Holl while developing strong foundational mallet technique. We are practicing proper grip, producing a beautiful tone, alternating hands, and learning how to care for our instruments and supplies. Students are also exploring both ensemble and individual rehearsal strategies to help them play with confidence. Our K–1 musicians are focusing on steady beat, improvisation, and playing on special words, all while learning beginning mallet skills. Every student has their own instrument and mallets, making our classes very hands on, engaging, and full of fun.
