November Updates from Music
It’s been a fantastic start to the year in music! We’ve been learning how to keep a steady beat, exploring how music can express different moods, and talking about how it makes us feel—and how audiences connect to music emotionally, too.Â
October brought some seasonal fun with our Halloween music choice board, packed with songs, movement, games, instruments, stories, and more. Students loved getting to choose their own musical adventures!
We’ve also been making music with Orff instruments and unpitched percussion, building rhythm skills and working together as a team.
One of the biggest highlights was creating our Red Ribbon Week video—students helped storyboard and film it, and then we kicked off the week with a school-wide premiere! Grades K–5 watched it together, sang along, and had a blast celebrating the message through music.
It’s been a joyful, creative nine weeks, and we’re excited to keep the music going!
