November Updates from the School Counselor
I would like to thank all students, staff and parents for making Red Ribbon Week a success! We enjoyed seeing everyone participate in such a fun and important week in showing their commitment to being drug free.
Our Medal of Honor character word for this month is “Patriotism”. In addition to our character word, our guidance lessons for this month will focus on kindness.
We will be celebrating World Kindness Day on Thursday, November 13th by participating in a “Light It Up Blue Fun Run” here at Dexter. This will take place from 8:05-8:30AM on the playground track. Be sure to wear BLUE on that day! Parents are more than welcome to participate.

We have partnered with the Salvation Army by having a food drive where we will be collecting canned goods for families in need from Nov. 3rd- Nov.20th. This is our school’s first community Random Act of Kindness this school year and we look forward to making it a huge success and helping those in need. The class with the most donations will receive a “Sweet Surprise” from the counseling department.
