Inside the Nest

Dear Dexter Family,

As the Holiday Season approaches, it's a wonderful time to reflect on our achievements and set new goals for the year ahead. It's incredible to think we're already halfway through the school year as we near the end of the Second Quarter!

Parents, your unwavering support has been invaluable. You are our true partners in learning, and together, we create the best environment for our students to thrive. Remember, you can intertwine some academic activities during your family time over the break like reading recipes, measuring ingredients, and sharing stories are fantastic ways to keep learning alive while making cherished memories.

Every day in school is a step toward success. After the break, let’s recommit to strong attendance habits so our students can finish the year strong. Consistent attendance helps keep the momentum going and ensures your child doesn’t miss out on valuable learning opportunities.

May the magic of the season and Winter Break rejuvenate you for the second half of the year. From our school family to yours, we wish you peace, joy, and a bright start to the new year because every day counts!

With Eagle Pride,

Dexter Admin

Tip from the Front Office

We know plans can change, and we want to make sure every student gets home safely. If you need to change your child’s dismissal plan, please let us know by 1:00 p.m.

Here are a few important things to keep in mind:

  • Please do not call or message your child on their phone or smartwatch.
  • All changes must go through the front office or be sent in a written note to the teacher.
  • Email is not an option because teachers may not see messages before dismissal.
  • The front office cannot accept changes through voicemail or Facebook messages.
  • Calling every day to make changes is not allowed, so please plan ahead whenever possible.

Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe and running smoothly!

We’re excited to share that DoDEA has won the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) Publications and Digital Media Excellence Award – Website Award of Merit for our School Newsletters Project! This NSPRA award honors outstanding school communication efforts that help connect schools with their communities. This wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of our amazing school webmasters. Thank you for keeping families connected with your hard work and heart!
