Inside the Nest

Dear Dexter Family,

Welcome to February! This is a month full of encouragement, appreciation, and moments that highlight the heart of our Dexter family! As we continue moving forward into the second half of the school year, we remain grateful for the strong partnerships, teamwork, and dedication that make our school such a supportive place for students to learn and grow. This month gives us many chances to celebrate the people who make a difference each day.
National School Counseling Week, celebrated from February 2–6, is a time to recognize and appreciate the incredible contributions of school counselors. These dedicated professionals play a vital role in helping students succeed academically and plan for their future careers. A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Taylor, our exceptional Dexter School Counselor, for her unwavering support and commitment to our students' success! Let's make this week special by spreading kindness and showing our appreciation for the amazing work our school counselors do every day.

Thank you for partnering with us to make this semester the best yet!

With Eagle Pride,

Dexter Admin

Tips from the Front Office

Reminder: Our Lost and Found has officially reached maximum capacity! If your child’s favorite jacket, water bottle, or that missing glove has disappeared, chances are it’s waiting patiently in our collection.
With chilly weather here, now is the perfect time to reclaim those items. Please remind your student to check the Lost and Found. Those belongings are ready to go home where they belong. Thank you for helping us reunite these items with their rightful owners!

Tips from the Nurse

There are still lots of icky germs roaming around the school, so please still keep washing those hands for at least 20 seconds!! That is truly the best way to stay healthy! Please make sure to keep your kiddo(s) at home if they are feeling unwell. Also, please send your kiddo(s) to school with a water bottle. They have access to water fountains, but a water bottle is always a good idea. Another reminder that the lost and found still has a lot of jackets and water bottles. Pleases have your child check that area if they are missing an item.

Tips from Herbie the Eagle

With the chilly weather settling in, we want to make sure all our students stay cozy and comfortable throughout the school day. Please remember to send your child with a warm coat, jacket, hat, or any outerwear they may need for recess and outdoor transitions. We still enjoy outdoor time whenever possible, and we want every child to feel warm and cared for while they learn and play.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our children warm, happy, and ready to learn each day.
