Dexter Elementary Participates in STEM to Space Event
We are thrilled to share that on Wednesday, December 11th, many of our Dexter Eagles participated in an extraordinary live discussion on STEM to Space. This event featured the legendary Bill Nye the Science Guy, Major Victoria Garcia of the US Space Force, and Colonel Nick Hague, an astronaut from the International Space Station, who joined us live from space!
Our students had the unique opportunity to send in their questions and hear them answered in real-time. They learned about the fascinating careers in space innovation and the important work being done in this field. This once-in-a-lifetime event, sponsored by the USO, was open to military-connected students and has sparked a newfound interest and curiosity about space exploration and career opportunities.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their enthusiasm and engagement in this remarkable learning experience.
